The annual Christmas celebration at Quail Hollow Park is just around the corner!
Such a beautiful time of year to visit the Hollow. Guests will enjoy a self-guided tour of the historic and newly decorated 40-room Manor House. The $15 per car event will feature twenty Christmas trees throughout the home and Santa will be in the library.
Children’s crafts and activities will be in the Nature Center and everyone may enjoy a wagon ride and a warm fire, while roasting marshmallows. Local choirs will perform each evening Thursday December 6 – Saturday December 8. Stop by and say Happy Holidays, or Merry Christmas!
If you’re looking for a fun, free event this weekend, why not bring your friends and family to the Solon Historical Society this Sunday? NEOLUG members will be displaying LEGO creations of all sorts and chatting with visitors. The show is free and open to the public this December 2, 2018 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Solon Historical Society is located at 33975 Bainbridge Rd, Solon, OH 44139.
This year we were at the Cuyahoga County Fair, in Berea Ohio, from Thursday – Sunday August 8 – 12. NEOLUG had as much fun as the nearly 250,000 fair visitors this year.
We had even more people show up this year to look at the wonders we created such as a mini Cuyahoga County Fair, Egypt, and other creations from the our member artists. The miniaturization of Professor Bubblemaker’s Beautiful Bubble Ballet was a huge hit with both visitors and the professor himself. To see more of our photos of the event, please visit our photo’s page.
NEOLUG will be returning to Cuyahoga County’s Fair on Thursday, August 9 – Sunday, August 12. We will be featuring a minifair along with plenty of other new and favorite items. Here’s a sneak peak at what is planned to be there:
The fair is open 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM every day, and opens at 10:00 AM on Saturday.
NEOLUG had as much fun as the attendees of the event. There were some build in progress, like Adrian Drake’s work on Deep Space 9:
and completed works like Eric Knapp’s Door’s on stage:
On Saturday, July 14, 2017, NEOLUG will display amazing LEGO creations at the Westlake Porter Public Library. The event is scheduled from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and it’s free and open to the public.
No registration required for any of the events. If you’re looking for a fun way to spend your Saturday, head over to the library, located at 27333 Center Ridge Rd, Westlake, OH 44145.

NEOLUG participated again this year at The International Women’s Air & Space Museum annual Family Day on May 5, 2018. This year, NEOLUG featured several LEGO® creations during the event including Todd Wolf’s Mather recreation.
The surprise of the event was when President Trump landed at the airport for an event that was being held later that day in Cleveland Ohio.
NEOLUG’s April group meeting was comprised of fun, food, and best of all, playing with LEGO bricks. Using multiple copies of the Go Brick Me set, NEOLUG members built custom BrickHeadz for each other. The leftover pieces were also put to good use in a set draft.
Each member went home with a life-like (albeit somewhat blocky) version of themselves. Here’s EJ Bocan posing with his custom Brickheadz built by Ken Cefaratti.
This February, NEOLUG attended the third annual Canton Kidfest 2018, an indoor family fun day at the Canton Civic Center. KidFest featured activities for the whole family, including games, prizes, crafts, activities, a rock climb wall, inflatables, a petting zoo, live music, and guest appearances by famous characters from sports, television, and movies. Thousands of families visited this year’s event.
NEOLUG was on site, with a display of club member LEGO creations and a large LEGO play area for visitors inlcuding a LEGO “walk of fire,” LEGO balloon sculptures, and LEGO building stations.
