Great Northern Mall hosts NEOLUG’s spooky fairgrounds

This past weekend, hundreds of enthusiasts came out to see NEOLUG’s builds and creations. Many fans enjoyed the spooky Halloween displays – including a spooky Great Ball Contraption (GBC) module. Additionally, the Jurassic Park display was back, a castle display, a city street dressed up for Halloween, and our headliner – the Spooky Fairgrounds.

NEOLUG will be back at the mall again next year – check out our events calendar or Facebook to see where we will be next.

Lego Artist from NEOLUG show Christmas creations at FOX8’s 17th Annual Operation Giving Tree

It was snow filled cloudy day, and NEOLUG members strapped on their snowshoes and hiked 2 or more miles uphill in the snow with their MOCs strapped to their backs.  Their destination:  FOX8’s front yard to participate in the 17th Annual Operation Giving Tree event.  Upon arrival NEOLUG’s LEGO artists setup a Christmas winter scene display for all the attending children (and adult children at heart) to say – “Yeah, Olaf is here!!”.

Despite the less than cooperative weather, the event was well attended and a glowing success for the charitable event.  Folks from the community drove up and helped out Santa by giving generous donations to support needy families in 5 local counties.  When the event ended, NEOLUG put back on their snowshoes, and hiked 2 or miles uphill filled with the warmth of the happy folks attending the event.  Whichever Holiday you celebrate, may it be joy and happiness.

Deck The Hall 2022: Gracious Gathering

This year, NEOLUG has been given the task of decorating the Butler’s Pantry. NEOLUG has been working for a few months on what will be displayed this year. You will need to come and see it all.

We did want to give you a preview of what will be there: this lit gingerbread house from NEOLUG member CJ De Groff. CJ built LEGO’s retired Gingerbread House, set 10267 from 2019. There will be plenty of MOCs from the members of NEOLUG there as well, but you will need to stop by Stan Hywet to see them all

All tickets are pre-sale only. Event dates are Nov 25 – 27, Dec 1 – 4, Dec 8 – 23, Dec 26 – 30, and the estate remains open until 9:00 PM all nights.
